Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is a minimally invasive treatment that stimulates the body’s natural healing process to help repair and rejuvenate the skin. At Face of Aesthetic Medicine we use the Alocuro system which has been proven to extract high platelet concentration.
A small amount of your blood is taken and placed in a special tube. This tube is then placed in a centrifuge device where it spins your blood super fast -separating your red blood cells from your platelets and plasma. The plasma is filled with concentrated platelets and other growth factors. The PRP is then injected into areas which you would like to see an improvement in.

How is PRP therapy done?
A small volume (15 – 30ml) of the patient’s blood is collected in the same way as a standard blood test. Using a patented platelet-concentrating device and a centrifuge, the platelets are separated from the whole blood and collected in a concentrated sample known as PRP. Numbing cream is applied prior to treatment for less discomfort. The PRP is injected into the superficial skin layers using a very fine needle.
